Six sets. 575 cards to track. 612 printed placeholders across 68 sheets. Base Set in 1999 through to Gym Challenge in 2000, in one bundle, all using the same layout, the same colour system and the same typography.

That last part is the whole point. You can find a free checklist for any one of these sets. What you cannot find is six of them that match, so that when the binders sit next to each other on a shelf they read as one collection rather than six separate projects.

Print the placeholders, fill your 9 pocket pages in number order, and every binder looks complete from day one. Each card that lands swaps straight into its exact slot. No gaps, no rearranging, no guessing what is missing.

Six sets, six different variant problems

Each checklist tracks the variants that actually matter for that set, not a generic tick box.

• Base Set has four English print runs: 1st Edition, Shadowless, Unlimited and the 1999-2000 UK print. The cover explains how to tell them apart and flags that Machamp 8/102 was only ever 1st Edition, inside the 2-Player Starter Deck.
• Jungle has two print runs plus the No Set Symbol error, where an early Unlimited holo run went out with the flower symbol missing. It exists for all sixteen holos, so a true master set means three copies of each.
• Fossil has two print runs plus the foil variant. Fossil was the last set to use the Starlight foil, and some Unlimited holos exist with the scattered Cosmos pattern instead. Two copies that look identical might not be duplicates.
• Team Rocket has Dark Raichu 83/82, the first secret rare in the game, numbered higher than the set size. It also has the first holo Trainer and the first holo Energy, and the Dark Dragonite 5/82 no foil error that people mistake for a fake.
• Gym Heroes has nineteen holos, not fourteen, because cards 15 to 19 are holo Trainers. It was the first set to print them.
• Gym Challenge has the error nobody gets right. Every 1st Edition Blaine's Charizard 2/132 shows a Fighting symbol in Roaring Flames instead of Fire, and the correction only exists in late Unlimited, which makes the corrected card scarcer than the error. Its checklist adds a third Corrected column for that card and Rocket's Minefield Gym 119/132.

Every card in all six sets gets its own numbered row, its own variant boxes, and a grade and notes line for PSA numbers, condition, or what you paid.

Sizes and printing

Placeholders cut to 63 x 88 mm, just inside a real card at 63.5 x 88.9 mm, so they sit flush in a standard 9 pocket page without bowing the plastic. Print at 100% or Actual size, never Fit to page. Matte cardstock between 220 and 300 gsm gives the best result. Matte beats gloss because gloss grips the inside of the pocket.

Six sets is 68 sheets of cardstock. Do not try to do it in one evening. The START HERE file has the folders numbered in release order, so working straight down the list puts your shelf in chronological order and gives you a natural stopping point after each set.
