135 printable placeholders and a five page variant checklist with a third column for the two corrected cards. All 132 cards in set order, including the four holo Gym Leaders.

The set where the error is the common one.

Every 1st Edition Blaine's Charizard 2/132 shows a Fighting symbol in the Roaring Flames attack cost instead of Fire. There is no corrected 1st Edition. The fix only appears in late Unlimited packs, which means the corrected card is far scarcer than the error version most people assume is the rare one.

Collecting both Gym sets? The Gym Two Set Bundle has Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge for £14, or take all six sets in the Six Set Bundle for £36.

That is a two column problem, and most checklists only give you one box. This one gives Blaine's Charizard and Rocket's Minefield Gym 119/132 a third tick box for the corrected print, so you can track the error and the correction separately. Every other card in the set has the third box dashed out, so the page stays readable.

Built for the runs that matter

Three columns: 1st Edition, Unlimited and Corrected. The cover explains the tell for each in plain language. 1st Edition carries a black Edition 1 stamp to the left of the artwork. Unlimited has no stamp. Corrected applies to cards 2 and 119 only.

135 placeholders, so the binder is never half finished

Gym Challenge is 132 cards across fifteen 9 pocket pages. This kit is a printed placeholder for every single one, numbered and in set order. Slide the placeholder out, slide the real card in. Your page count never changes and you can see what is missing from across the room.

Twenty holos, including four Gym Leaders

Cards 17 to 20 are holo Trainers: Blaine, Giovanni, Koga and Sabrina. All four are also reprinted later in the set without foil, so a real master set needs both versions of each. The holo grid on the checklist cover lays out all twenty chase cards with their own tick boxes.

Three things this checklist will save you from

  • Blaine's Charizard 2/132 with the Fighting symbol is not a fake. Every 1st Edition copy looks like that.
  • The corrected Blaine's Charizard is the scarce one. Late Unlimited only. Most sellers have this backwards.
  • Cards 17 to 20 are holo Trainers and are all reprinted without foil. Two of each for a master set, and the checklist gives each print its own numbered row.

What you get

  • 135 numbered placeholders across 15 sheets, nine to a page, with crop marks
  • 1 title card for the front of the binder
  • 2 blank write in cards for promos, graded slabs or your own notes
  • 5 page master checklist with a row for every card, type, rarity, three print run boxes and a grade and notes line
  • Print and cut guide with exact printer settings and the colour key
  • Both paper sizes. A4 and US Letter, six PDFs in total
  • READ ME FIRST file with set notes, printing and licence

Sizes and printing

Placeholders cut to 63 x 88 mm. A real card is 63.5 x 88.9 mm, so the placeholder sits flush in a standard 9 pocket page without bowing the plastic. Print at 100% or Actual size, never Fit to page. Use matte cardstock between 220 and 300 gsm. Matte beats gloss, because gloss grips the inside of the pocket and is a nuisance to slide out. Fifteen sheets covers the whole set.
